One thing about having guests here is that they help us see the "unusual" that has already become quite "usual" to us. And then there are the things that no matter how long we're here will never be usual.
James thinks this is such a "dapper" looking gentleman on the bathroom sign to be advertising facilities that are neither dapper nor fit for a gentleman.

Another example of east meeting west: These red envelopes have been given to children with money inside to celebrate the lunar New Year for hundreds of years. I'm pretty sure it's a recent addition that they are clad with Spongebob Square Pants.

It's cold here, folks! Although this year is better than previous years.

One way to know it's cold is when your dog needs a down coat.

The folks who read this who used to live here may like to know: The train (at least in the soft sleepers) now has a western toilet!

Makes me miss being there for various reasons! Wonderful that there are now western toilets on the trains in certain areas, but will still never be overwhelming motivation to ride the train daily! Flying all the way! Blessings on your work there and favor on those who came into contact with our group!
