The girls have been playing outside and loving it! Of course we go outside to play in China, but there is no grass or nature. Even at the parks where there is grass, it's generally not ok to walk or play on it. All that to say, the girls have loved the wide open spaces here.

| Poor cat. Catherine chases it yelling, "Go here, cat!" |

| barn swallows. Catherine had a bad experience with them during Ranch Bible School (more on that later) that may cause a lifetime fear of these birds. In addition to cats and birds the girls have seen: dogs, horses, cows, antelope, llamas, donkeys, lizards. horned toads, frogs, turtles, and rabbits. |

I'm enjoying seeing photos of your girls having fun in places that are familiar and hold fond memories for me too. Thank you for sharing. Sounds like Alfred Hitchcock ' s The Birds doesn't need to be on the family viewing list in the next 30 years. ;-) Love you guys!
Do you remember Mettie calling Catherine's laugh a "trucker laugh?" Well, the bird incident caused Catherine to start using a trucker voice and she would say, "Birds will bite you!" in a raspy low voice. so funny!
