Ann's Second Birthday

This post probably has way too many pictures for most of you, unless you are the grandparents or aunts/uncles. Also, I did not get a single picture of Ann smiling on her first birthday, so I took tons of photos this year so that I could document that she was actually happy on her birthday. Also, I just took an online photography class in January, so I was trying to practice a few things.

But before we take a look at the party, let's see how our little Ann has grown:

Ann, just a few moments old

One year old! We celebrated with a local friend whose son turned one just a few days before Ann. (see, not smiling)

Ok, on to the party....

We had a very small, simple party just after lunch with our family.

I wasn't kidding about the banners. Get used to them.

Ann's favorite thing right now seems to be Curious George, so we decided to make him the theme of our party. I think I succeeded in "monkey" but not sure how well I replicated George. Doesn't matter, the girls loved it.

Of all things, she loved the balloon the most.

Catherine picked out two gifts for Ann, the pink bear money bank and those little pills that expand into foam sea creatures in the bath tub. Ann loved them both so I'd say she did a great job.

a puzzle from grandma and grandpa
money from Mimi and Grandpa.

And time for the cake!

We are so happy to celebrate Ann! She;s sweet but spunky and has the best laugh. She loves to be chased, watch George, read a certain peek-a-boo book, take baths, and play with balloons. We love her and so blessed she's in our family.

Happy birthday to our sweet Ann! I remember meeting her when she was just a tiny little baby. She's grown into such a beautiful, delightful little girl!
